The Titans officially finalized the long-rumored trade for L’Jarius Sneed, as Tennessee is sending a 2025 third-round pick and a 2024 seventh-round pick swap to Kansas City for the second-team All-Pro. With the Sneed trade unfolding, the Titans draft strategy will change. Here is my five-round post L’Jarius Sneed Trade Mock Draft!
TRADE BACK WITH NYJ:
TITANS RECEIVE: Pick 10, Pick 72, 2025 Third Round pick
JETS RECEIVE: Pick 7
R1P10: Olu Fashanu, OT Penn State
The Titans trade back and acquire an extra pick in the draft but still land their franchise left tackle. Penn State’s Olu Fashanu is one of the best pass protectors in this year’s draft, not allowing a sack in his final three college seasons and posting an 80 or higher PFF pass-blocking grade in each of the last three seasons. Though his run blocking isn’t as developed as his pass protection, Fashanu is still solid in the rushing attack and is gradually improving in the run game. The Titans have struggled to protect the QB’s blindside since the departure of Taylor Lewan, but that problem would be fixed with the selection of Olu Fashanu!
R2P38: Payton Wilson, LB NC State
Wilson is a first-round talent, but his injury concerns could drop him into the second round. The 23-year-old was the best linebacker in the nation in 2023, totaling 138 tackles, six sacks, and a PFF tackling grade of 90.6. Wilson was also tremendous in pass coverage, snagging three interceptions and scoring a 90.4 PFF pass coverage grade. With the ability to play both Mike and Will linebacker, Wilson would fit alongside Kenneth Murray and overshadow the former Chargers’ liabilities in pass coverage. Taking a player with injury concerns is a significant risk, but Wilson has stayed healthy over the past two seasons and would fill a glaring need for the Titans on Day two.
R3P72: Bralen Trice, EDGE Washington
Trice was dominant for the Huskies in 2023, totaling seven sacks and 53 QB hurries with a PFF Grade of 88.1. The 23-year-old’s high motor and diverse pass-rushing skill set would be a solid addition to a Titans’ pass rush that was inconsistent last year. Trice could go earlier than 72, but rounds 2-3 will likely be when he comes off the board.
R4P106: Jacob Cowing, WR Arizona
Deemed the best separator in the 2024 NFL Draft by PFF, Cowing projects as a slot receiver at the next level. The 23-year-old hauled in 90 catches for 848 yards and 13 TDs in 2023 and had back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons in 2021 and 2022. Brian Callahan’s new-look offense will implement several four-wide receiver sets, with a slot receiver being used highly. Cowing would fit that role and be a solid WR4 for the Titans in those four-receiver sets.
R5P146: Layden Robinson, G Texas A&M
Robinson was a three-year starter at RG for the Aggies and would provide adequate depth for the Titans on the offensive line. The former three-star recruit allowed one sack and 16 QB pressures in 2023 and is also a plus-run blocker. O-line depth will be pivotal for Tennessee in 2024 and beyond, and Robinson would provide good depth with the ability to step in as a starter when needed.
