Brian Callahan is not a Good Head Coach

I’m not going to hold back. Brian Callahan is mismanaging the Titans right now. Every person that said the Titans made a mistake by firing Mike Vrabel appears to be right.

There’s no need to go through a whole breakdown of Sunday’s 34-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills. The first half as usual looked well. The Titans had a lead, they moved the football, and Mason Rudolph seemed to be in control of the game. The second half is where the wheels fell off once again.

After a third down run was shut down, the Titans went for it on 4th and 2 from their own 44-yard line. The play was stopped in the backfield and gave Buffalo the momentum they needed to take a lead. Buffalo then proceeded to put a beating on the Titans.

I can’t defend Brian Callahan from this point forward. I’m not going to say he needs to be fired, but he definitely needs to consider giving up play calling duties. He is not a good game manager and needs to focus more on improving in that area of coaching.

Something else I would like to touch on is how he has managed Will Levis over the last couple of weeks. Levis was held out of today’s game with a shoulder injury he suffered during the Dolphins Monday Night Football game. The decision was made to start him the following week against the Colts, but Adam Schefter reported that Levis could be out at least 4 weeks. Why wasn’t Levis held out of last week’s game?

If Adam Schefter knew this, Brian Callahan definitely knew. This team is going downhill fast. The Titans are destined for a top 3 draft pick at this point. They desperately need a quarterback, and Brian Callahan needs to reevaluate his self and adjust.
