Marako Taylor’s Mock Draft 1.0

What’s up Titans family! I hope everyone is having a blessed and productive day. I know 95% of y’all are tired of mock drafts. I am to but for business purposes, I’m about to mock draft my ass off.

Round 1 Pick 7
Olumuyiwa Fashanu OL Penn State

I know Fashanu isn’t the sexy pick, but he was the guy that fell to me, so I took him. The Titans should absolutely do the same if the situation presents itself in late April. Fashanu has 21 career starts at left tackle. He also is the 2023 Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year, first-team All-Big Ten. He is the prototypical LT at 6’6 317lbs. Fashanu has not allowed a sack in 646 pass-blocking snaps the last two seasons.

Round 2 pick 38
Adonai Mitchell WR Texas

This is the sexy pick you all have been waiting for, and his name is Adonai Mitchell. Adonai Mitchell is a skilled wide receiver with excellent height as he stands 6’4 and has the speed to beat defenders deep on the outside. Mitchell was a big-play threat with for the Longhorns with 813 yards and 10 touchdowns on just 51 catches. In an offense that is dying for a WR1, AD would get plenty of opportunities to become the guy for the Titans.

Round 4 Pick 106
Kamal Hadden CB Tennessee

Vols fans are always crying about the Titans not drafting their players. The Titans drafted Justin Hunter in the 2nd round of the 2013 draft, but things did not work out. I’m confident things will be much better this time around with Kamal Hadden. Before suffering a season ending shoulder injury, Hadden played at a high level. In 33 passes thrown in his direction, he held opposing QBs to a passer rating of 7. Yes, I said 7. He’s known for being a ball hawk who anticipates WR routes very well. He has the size and speed to keep up with WR on the outside as he stand’s 6’1 197lbs. Hadden would be a great addition to a struggling Titans secondary.

Round 5 Pick 144
Khyree Jackson CB Oregon

You can never have enough CBs and when I got to the 5th round and Khyree Jackson was still available, I didn’t think twice about pulling the trigger. At 6’3 195lbs, Jackson has the physical talent to be a legit press man to man defender in the NFL. He was a 2nd team All-Pac-12 in 2023. Although he has some growing to do when it comes to playing CB, Khyree Jackson is someone the Titans should take a chance on in the 5th round.

Round 6 Pick 183
Beaux Limmer OL Arkansas

Beaux Limmer could end up being a late round gem for someone. I hope it’s the Titans. Limmer has elite size (6’5 302), strength, and versatility as he played guard and started 12 games in 2023 at center. I feel like Limmer would be an immediate upgrade over Aaron Brewer based off his size alone. In 2022 and 2023, he allowed 4 sacks on 800 plus snaps.

Round 7 pick 218
Trevin Wallace LB Kentucky

Tre Wallace is another guy I believe could end up being a late round gem. I think he would be a perfect fit for the Titans. Wallace is a high character/high energy guy that can cover sideline to sideline and is an excellent finisher when tackling as he rarely allows a broken tackle. He has extensive special-teams ability as well. He was a team captain for the Kentucky Wildcats in 2023, and he was one of the few juniors to earn an invite to the 2024 Senior Bowl.

Round 7 pick 239
Xavier Thomas EDGE Clemson

Xavier Thomas is a raw talent could develop into a rotational player if placed in the right situation. I wouldn’t mind the Titans taking a chance on him with their last 7th round pick. He has a high motor and great stamina. He also has the speed to run with TEs when dropping back into zone coverage.

This was a pretty fun mock draft. You all don’t have to worry about me mock drafting y’all to death. I’ll do one more after the combine and pro days. After that, I’m leaving it up to Ran and company.

Take care everybody and Titan Up!!!!
