Like I said on the Titans Colosseum Podcast last night, I can’t wait to start booking flights tomorrow when the NFL releases the schedule for all 32 teams. This is one of the most exciting times during the offseason. I’m not going waste time making predictions, but what I am going to do is tell you all what I want the Titans schedule to look like.
If I could make the schedule for the Tennessee Titans, I would have them starting off Week 1 in the division. I want to see the Jaguars in Nashville. I feel like the Jaguars would be the perfect match for the Titans to start the season for multiple reasons.
There isn’t a better way to test out a new offense and defense than to test it out against a division rival. Jacksonville is a solid team. Also, I want to see Calvin Ridley against his former team with a chip on his shoulder. Someone else with a chip on their shoulder I want to see is Will Levis. He did not have a good game against the Jags last season. He didn’t play in the Week 18 game as well. Levis and Ridley will be hungry to impose their will against Jacksonville to start the season.
Week 1- Jacksonville 1pm/12pm CT
Week 2- @Chicago 1pm/12pm CT
Week 3- New England 1pm/12pm CT
Week 4- @LA Chargers 4:30pm/3:30pm CT
Week 5- @Washington 1pm/12pm CT
Week 6- Indianapolis 1pm/12pm CT
I want the Titans to go ahead and face Chicago before they actually figure out who they are. I also don’t want to play Chicago in November, December, or January. Who knows what type of conditions the Titans will have to play under. This is also the case for Buffalo. I don’t want to see them in those months. SPOILER ALERT, I want to see them Week 7.
Week 7- @Buffalo TNF 8pm/7pm CT
Week 8- New York Jets 1pm/12pm CT
Week 9- @Detroit 1pm/12pm CT
Week 10- Bye
Week 11- Minnesota 1pm/12pm CT
Week 12- @Houston 4pm/3pm CT
By this time, we will know whether the Titans are legit or whether they need another year to get things right. If they are rolling, I want to see the Texans Week 12. I want this game to be a Sunday afternoon game. Trust me, I’m building up to something.
Week 13- Green Bay 1pm/12pm CT
Week 14- @Jacksonville 1pm/12pm CT
Week 15- Cincinnati MNF 8:20pm/7:20pm CT
Week 16- @Indianapolis 1pm/12pm CT
Week 17- @Miami 1pm/12pm CT
Week 18- Houston SNF (Flex) 8:20pm/7:20pm CT
If everything plays out how I want it to play out, I WANT TO SEE THEM HOE ASS HOUSTON TEXANS WEEK 18 IN NASHVILLE for the AFC South Championship. This rivalry against Houston is reaching its boiling point. A Week 18 matchup with playoff ramifications would be the perfect ending to the Titans season. It was be so fitting for these 2 teams to get flexed into SNF.
Now we know damn well all this isn’t going to happen. I tried to be unbiased as possible when making this schedule as well. As you can see, this schedule will keep the Titans on its toes and by the time we face the Texans Week 18, we will be battle tested and ready to give them the dog fight they been asking for.
