The NFL Draft has officially begun, and while many focus on day one of the draft, we’ll turn our attention to day two in this article. The Titans have a glaring need at edge rusher after Denico Autry’s departure in free agency. Though Johnny Newton and Chris Braswell are two edge prospects popular amongst Titans fans, here is another potential defensive lineman Tennessee should pursue on day two.
Western Michigan Edge Marshawn Kneeland has shot up draft boards over the past month, as the 22-year-old is expected to be selected in the second round. The 6’3, 270-pound edge has insane raw power and is sneaky athletic for his size. Kneeland generated 37 QB pressures in 2023 and scored an 84.7 pass-rushing grade along with an 83.4 run-defense grade.
Kneeland had been mentioned as a potential first-round sleeper, but if the Western Michigan alum is available at 38 or in a second-round trade-back scenario, Tennessee should be all in. Though losing Denico Autry was a massive blow to the Titans’ defensive line, Kneeland would be an adequate replacement and solid building block in the trenches alongside Jeffery Simmons.
