Real deal Titans fans know how bad the Titans have been against backup quarterbacks. Today wasn’t any different as the Titans fall to the Green Bay Packers 30-14.
Malik Willis continues to show progress under Green Bay Head Coach Matt Lafleur as he led the Packers down the field for a touchdown on their opening possession after a five-yard run.
The Titans answered back as Levis led a ten-play touchdown drive after a one-yard pass to tight end Nick Vannett.
The rest of the game turned into a complete shit show after Will Levis Levis’d once again. To me it wasn’t as bad as his flick 6, but it was a horrible play no doubt. Levis was late on a throw to wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins which resulted in a Jaire Alexander pick-6. Watching it happen in real time was deflating to say the least.
The Titans appeared to show some life after a 68-yard drive which resulted in a 11-yard touchdown from Levis to Hopkins, but the game was a complete wash from that point on.
Malik Willis looked great against the team that traded him for a block of cheese. He completed 13 of 19 passes for 202 yards, 1 passing TD, and 1 rushing TD. Willis didn’t turn the ball over and was sacked 3 times.
Levis on the other hand struggled throughout the game as he completed 26 passes for 260 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. Levis also fumbled after right tackle and Fantasy Expert Nicholas Petit-Frere was beat horribly. The Fantasy Expert was benched after his episode of foolishness.
Levis now has 8 turnovers in 3 games. He also was 8 times today. Seven of those sacks came in the 2nd half.
Defensively, the Titans done all they could. They struggled themselves but gave the offense multiple opportunities to get back in the game. It’s only so much the defense can do when they are out on the field as much or more than the offense.
0-3 is pretty much a death sentence for a rebuilding team. The season isn’t over but don’t expect things to get much better from here. Next up for the Titans, Monday Night Football in Miami against the Dolphins.
