There’s Nothing Wrong With The Offensive Line

I know some of our fellow fans freaked out when they read the day one practice notes. Levis looked good, the defense looked good but the offensive line, let’s talk about it.

Per Sam Phalen of AtoZ Sports Nashville, the Titans offensive line had a rough first day of practice. There were multiple run plays that would’ve resulted a tackle for loss.

– It looked like a rough day for the Titans offensive line. There were at least 5, maybe close to 10 run plays that would have been shut down for a loss of yards during the full team period. Tennessee’s defensive front got consistent penetration.

Multiple defenders were able to get through the offensive line including newly acquired safety Jamal Adams, Kenneth Murray, and rookie Jaylen Harrell.

It isn’t surprising to me at all that the offensive line struggled day one. Defense will more than likely have the upper hand out the gate. In order to protect, the offensive line needs to be able to get physical. They can’t get too physical without pads on, right?

Something else that needs to be taken into consideration is chemistry. It’s going to take the offensive line some time to gel. Some days may look better than others, but we won’t be able to get a good grasp on the offensive line until the pads go on. That’s why I’m here to tell you, DON’T WORRY ABOUT THE OFFENSIVE LINE JUST YET!!!
